About
I’m Azzam Aziz. I’m a Software Engineer living in Michigan. I’m also a car enthusiast.
I’m an engineer at heart. I like to open things to understand how they work then modify them to my needs. My first experience is gutting a DC motor out of a remote-controlled car and putting it on a Lego boat so that I can have it move around.
I got into software when I took my first C++ class at Washtenaw Community College in 2011 with my professor Khaled Mansour. By the time I enrolled in school I already knew I wanted to do something with computers. I realized that software is the specific field with this class. It was a Tuesday/Thursday class for two hours and that simply was not enough. I wanted to know more than what was offered during that time. That opened a whole new world to me.
- In 2010 I took my first C++ class at Washtenaw Community College
- In 2011 I participated in Experience IT Detroit, a mentoring program by the Detroit companies
- In 2013 I joined Title Source as a Software Engineer
Why Do I Blog?
I blog to get my thoughts out and documented. I like to research and understand technology and various other topics. This then serves as a way to communicate my knowledge with a lot more people than the ones I know in person, and the ability to refer the ones I do know in person to my documented knowledge.
My blog theme inspiration is after the Coding Horror blog.
